Smart with SMART Boards

Technology provides students and teachers a new way of learning with a SMART Board, a whiteboard that allows students to actively be involved in lesson plans in school. SMART Board was the first interactive whiteboard that started in 1991. “The SMART Board interactive whiteboard, connected to an LCD panel and computer, introduced the world to interactive technology in classrooms, group meeting and presentation,” said the Corporate website for SMART.

“The majority of teachers use overheads but I use a smart board,” said Richard Marengo, a teacher at Jackie Robinson Academy. “The kids love it,” Marengo said.
A key point that Marengo spoke about concerning the SMART Board was that teachers are able to share information and lesson plans, which makes the teachers job easier.
Students are also at an advantage when learning with the SMART Board because it includes all different types of learning skills. Visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learns are all able to learn providing an atmosphere where all students can learn and grow.

Hi! What a fantastic blog!
I read your post about SMARTboards and I just wanted to make sure you were aware of another company that makes interactive whiteboards, Interwrite Learning. Interwrite Learning produces a fantastic whiteboard, the Interwrite Board.

It is an engaging, durable, easy-to-use interactive whiteboard that features the Interwrite Workspace software. The Software and Board inspire students by turning classroom lessons into interactive experiences.

You should really check it out at www.interwritelearning.com.
